How to lay a beautiful Christmas table

As Jay commented, this 'home expert' really gets it wrong with her cutlery positioning. Always work from the outside in with placements. Didn't bother to watch the rest - a giant mistake such as this means the woman doesn't know her stuff.

Not a very practical video if you are trying to cram 10 people around a table - elbows, tight settings etc means there is little room for all the decorations, multiple glasses etc. Come on Tesco stop living in the 1920s and provide tips for real families!

Oh dear, the table setting video has so much wrong information. This is how it should be - Cutlery - always work from outside to inside so, on the right, the starter cutlery should be furthest away from the plate, then the main then the dessert nearest to the plate. Whether it's a formal or informal meal this is the way it's always been! Glasses - white wine glass near top of right-side cutlery, red wine glass to left of white glass, water to left of red wine glass. The glasses should make a diagonal line from right to left at the top of the setting. Hot food should always be served on warmed plates so, nice thought it looks, putting all the plates on the table at the start of the meal isn't good practice. Sorry, but if you're going to give advice, please get it right!
